Birmingham-based children’s charity, Little Hearts Matter, is calling for businesses to be big hearted and support a new initiative.
Taking place on 14 February 2020, the Edgbaston-based charity will launch an initiative named Big Hearted Friday.
The day will aim to raise awareness of the charity, the conditions they support and raise funds for the charity to continue to support children with half a heart and their families when they need it most.
Fundraising and marketing manager of the charity, Ian Carr, explains: “Big Hearted Friday is a chance for you and your colleagues to do something simple but amazing to help children with half a heart.
“We’re asking businesses and schools to wear red and blue to work, put on a bake sale, play games, quizzes and anything else you might want to do to make the 14 February big hearted!”
From initial antenatal diagnosis, through treatments and into life at home, Little Hearts Matter works with children, young adults and families to reduce the isolation, fear and lack of understanding created when a child is diagnosed as having half a working heart.
