Birmingham-based SME, Bootcamp Media, will be hosting a popular networking lunch at Simpsons restaurant this month (JULY) to help raise vital funds for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.

The digital marketing agency will be hosting the next ‘Phoenix Business Lunch’ at Simpsons Restaurant in Edgbaston on Thursday 25 July, to give city professionals an opportunity to connect and show their support for the local charity.

Generous networkers will be able to enjoy a three course lunch at the Michelin-starred restaurant whilst they meet like-minded business professionals from across the city. There will also be a chance to support the Hospice – which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year – by taking part in raffles, collections and other fundraising activities.

Jamil Shabir, managing director at Bootcamp Media, said: “The Phoenix Business Lunch has been running for nearly 25 years now and its popularity is down to its combination of networking with fundraising for important charities.

“I’m really excited to be hosting my second Phoenix networker for Birmingham St Mary’s – at our last event we raised over £4,000 for the Hospice and so I hope we can beat that figure this time round. It’s set to be a really special lunch – especially as we’ll be dining on amazing Michelin standard food by Simpsons – and so I’m really looking forward to welcoming people to the event and encouraging them to show their support for this great local charity.”

Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice provides vital care to local people and their loved ones who are living with life-limiting illness.

Pamela Hodgetts, corporate fundraising officer at the Hospice, added: “The Phoenix Business Lunches are always popular and so we’re honoured that Jamil and the Bootcamp Media team have chosen to support the Hospice at their next event. We know it’s going to be a brilliant afternoon at Simpsons – complete with fantastic food and company – and so we’re really looking forward to spreading the word about the vital care we provide at the Hospice.

“This year is a particularly special one for the Hospice as we’re celebrating 40 years of care across Birmingham and Sandwell. It will cost £8.3 million to run our crucial services during our ruby anniversary year and so every pound raised at the Phoenix Business Lunch will enable us to continue to care for people wherever and whenever they need it.”

When the Hospice first opened in 1979, it could care for 25 people on any given day. Four decades later and the Hospice is supporting over 400 people every day, providing care in people’s homes, in the community, at its Day Hospice facility and at the Hospice’s Inpatient Unit.

Tickets to Bootcamp Media’s Phoenix Business Lunch have now been sold out.
