A businessman is on a mission to reach out to businesses, celebs, sports stars and individuals around the UK to show their appreciation to the unsung heroes of our NHS by sponsoring a hamper/s to say thank you for 70yrs of care. Hampers are just £70 each, we give sponsors a shout out on all our social media platforms and include a personalised message in each box.
Nigel Richardson, founder of Maldon’s Secret Hamper says his goal is to deliver 70 hampers to 70 hospitals around the country. Each time we deliver, the hampers are distributed amongst the staff on all levels, reaching in excess of 2500 people at a time. On our two previous deliveries to Broomfield in Essex and Newcastle RVI it created a massive feel good factor for days around the hospitals.
If we are successful, our campaign could reach well over 150k NHS staff and we hope that this could become one of the most uplifting feel good stories of 2019. We are currently speaking to a couple of TV production companies to see whether they would be interested in making a documentary about our quest.
When we delivered to Newcastle in December, we had the help of a little lad, Noah Wall, who was born there with life threatening complications now wants to join us in Birmingham and at other children’s hospitals as he hopes his story may give inspiration and comfort to other families.
At present we have around 50 of 70 hampers sponsored for the Birmingham children’s hospital. We are delivering on the 15th February at 1430hrs. I’m hoping that we can get the remaining hampers sponsored this week and a very massive long shot, but I’m hoping that we could find 5-10 businesses that would sponsor a batch of hampers so that we could deliver 70 hampers to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital the same day.
