Top Midlands Businessman Paul Cadman secured two Awards at the Downtown in Birmingham awards ceremony last night held at Edgbaston Cricket Club.
Paul was honoured to receive the ‘Man of the Year Award’ and one of his businesses Ex-Forces Recruitment received the award for ‘Recruitment Company of the Year’.
“Obviously I am very happy to be recognised in the face of such stiff competition.
“Ever since I was at school I have endeavoured to go beyond expectations and never let obstacles prevent me from succeeding. I am hoping young people, some who are facing their own obstacles will be inspired to carry on. I never let my dyslexia hold me back.
“Every successful business person knows the value of strong teams. Good people working together can take on any challenge.
“I want to thank all the people I work with across all my businesses. They helped me win this award.”
Paul, whose businesses straddle manufacturing, recruitment and ecommerce is a strong advocate for small businesses.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our country but are often ignored in favour of the corporate lobby.
“My ecommerce business will help small businesses compete more effectively and I look forward to launching it soon.”
Commenting on the success of Ex-Forces Recruitment, Paul said:
“We often forget the skills that Ex-forces personnel can bring to business. People who have served our country often in difficult circumstances can add real value to business and it is my honour to help them secure sustainable employment.
“The Midlands was once the world’s manufacturing powerhouse. I am making it my job to bridge the skills and productivity gaps that our manufacturers are facing by redeploying highly skilled and well disciplined ex-forces personnel.”
