Reports of a chaos outside a restaurant on Witton Lodge Road, Perry Common on Thursday 2nd November called Police to investigate; two individuals were injured as a gang of youth armed with weapons caused “significant damage” to a shop in Birmingham.
West Midlands police said a group of youth “armed with weapons” instigated an intentional attack as local residents accounted seeing up to ’30 men with machetes’.
An anonymous resident claimed “There was a huge fight involving up to 30 men armed with weapons including machetes. You can still see one large knife on the bonnet of the car.”
No arrests have yet been made but a West Midlands Police Spokesman stated the officers have commenced a ‘search for those involved’.
Witton Lodge Road was closed between Kingfisher Road and the exit opposite Perry Common this morning to allow for further searches to take place.
