Man arrested on suspicion of murdering Sajid Hussain

The West Midlands Police have verified a 23-year-old man was detained on Wednesday evening and is in police custody for an interview.

A man has been detained on notion of murdering mini bus driver Sajid Hussain, who perished after being wounded outside his Moseley home.

Mr Hussain, 40, was knifed in Tenby Street where he lived with his loved ones on Sunday evening.

He died a short time later in hospital.

Mr Hussain was thought to operate as a private mini bus driver.

Detective Inspector Paul Joyce advised the public with evidence to come forward.

He said: “Even though we have arrested a suspect, our investigation is very much on-going and I would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed this brutal attack.

“The victim’s family members have been fully updated and are being supported as they try to come to terms with their loss.”
