Congratulations are in order after George Clooney and Amal Clooney have given birth to twins, a boy and a girl.
The actor and human rights lawyer’s first children have been named Ella and Alexander, and according to a spokesperson, “Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine.”
The high profile couple has been keeping a relatively low profile living in the UK and renovated their Oxfordshire manor to accommodate their new rugrats. They’ve also been kept busy with work. Amal has been working to get the international community to investigate Islamic State crimes committed in Syria and Iraq. Clooney was set for a humanitarian visit to Armenia but cancelled due to his wife’s due date. He said, “if I came there and my wife had twins while I was there, I could never come home.”
Fans were quick to shower the pair with congratulations on social media.
The pair have been married since 2014. Clooney is now 53 and Amal 39. Clooney told People Magazine, “I think it’s the most responsible thing you can do, to have kids.”
