Dreams Come True – Dreams Come True volunteer, Birmingham resident and mother Nomana, who has seen the power of having her poorly child’s dream come true, invites you to join her for a fundraising Bollywood Ball on 25th March 2016. Join Bollywood dancers, singers and belly dancers for an evening to remember.

Nomana is hoping her spectacular Bollywood themed ball will raise £10,000 for children’s charity Dreams Come True. The charity works with children and young people with life-limiting and serious conditions to fulfil their dreams, delivering happy moments and memories to them and their families.

Nomana is not only a single mother who has raised her three children single-handedly, but she is a volunteer for Dreams Come True and has a special connection with the charity after two of her sons had their dreams fulfilled. One of her children, Adil, now 17 was born at 28 weeks with spina bifida, resulting in spinal problems, walking problems, incontinence and clubbed and arched feet. He is very low in weight and has scoliosis as well as other health complications. He has had eight operations and his ninth is due to happen on 17th February 2017. This makes daily life challenging for both Adil and the family.

Nomana applied to Dreams Come True to make her son’s dream of going to meet all his favourite characters from Disney come true. After seeing the impact the trip had on her son, Nomana would now like to help make other children’s dreams come true and provide families with cherished memories for a lifetime.

Nomana says: “I have known the charity for over 15 years now and really wanted to give something back. It is no easy task organising a ball, but we are incredibly excited to have Faraz Khan join us. It will be a spectacular night and by coming along and enjoying it with us, you will help to make more dreams come true.”

The Bollywood Ball will take place at Aston Villa football stadium on the 25th March from 18.30 until late. Tickets are now on sale for £60. This includes a welcome drink, a 4-course meal and a variety of entertainment, including singers, Bollywood and belly dancers hosted by International Bollywood dancer Faraz Khan.

The night will also include a live and silent auction along with a raffle. You can buy tickets at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/bollywood-fusion-ball-tickets-30115480212?aff=es2

Peter Newman, chief executive at Dreams Come True says: “Dream fulfilment is hugely important to young people living with serious conditions. Dreams can be as simple as a family weekend away or a specialised tricycle so they can play outside with their friends. It allows young people and their families to escape the world of hospitals and treatment and spend quality time together as a family, creating cherished memories for a lifetime. We are hugely grateful to Nomana for arranging this special ball on our behalf and we’re really looking forward to the evening.”
