As the scandal around the multi-million Khan family goes on, Faryal Makhdoom Khan, Amir Khan’s wife, has posted a naked picture of brother-in-law Haroon Khan.
The American model had previously posted via snapchat: “Don’t get your sons married if you’re going to abuse and bully the wife. I’ve always been so quiet but seriously this message is for everyone! When you bring someone’s daughter – treat her as your own. Your son will be much happier & so will you. :)”
Faryal revealed a spate of abuse at the hands of her in-laws, and in particular her sister-in-law Mariyah. She also alleged that her in-laws cropped her out of photos and even slapped her. Accusations and back and forth have wildly escalated, though in an attempt to brush things off, Amir Khan was quoted as saying, “My wife said something, my sister said something else, these are routine matters.”
However it was only when his mother gave a tearful interview and Faryal posted her scandalising snapchat that he finally spoke up.
In an interview, Khan’s mother Falak Khan said, “”I asked her not to wear such dresses and to take the dupatta (scarf), but she never listened. After that, we asked Amir but he told us to convey this to Faryal’s mother because she does not listen to him either.”
Faryal’s responsed to the video via snapchat, “U can fake tears. But you can’t fake proof…I have a mother too, who’s cried. Just because she’s not done it in the public to look innocent doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a heart.”
In a statement from Amir’s father, Sajjad Khan said, “Faryal was adopting a dress code which in the Islamic faith was not acceptable” and that the accusations lobbied against his family regarding violence, abuse and ill treatment were ‘completely untrue.’
Many have speculated that the Khan’s may even get their own reality TV show as a result of the mass attention their family affairs have brought. Things came to a head on December 13th when Faryal posted a snapchat of Haroon Khan, lying naked. The caption reads: My dressing is an issue? Double standards? Like harry lying naked and drink at a girls house, sisters wearing no “dupatta” I guess that’s ok bc that’s there blood and I’m just a daughter in law.”
The image instantly blew up, with many screenshotting and reposting it. Amir was finally forced to confront the issue, issuing a statement saying: “I didn’t want to get involved in this mess. There is NO reality television show. My parents are my parents and my wife is my wife. Whatever misunderstanding has happened they should keep it private. This is getting to the point where they will lose a son and a husband. Childish behaviour. Both parties need to stop this.”
