In his latest gambit for popularity, Donald Trump is to hold a huge concert in the US and in order to secure the asian vote and prove his cultural tolerance, he’s invited Bollywood and Indian film stars. However not everyone is too keen on the invite, one such being movie star Illeana D’Cruz.

She said:

“Bollywood is known worldwide and the stars are very popular and hence it is nice. But if you are asking me if I support Donald Trump? I don’t.”

She added that “Whenever I take up any kind of endorsement or any kind of event, I do so with a lot of background research.”

Contrary to D’cruz, some stars have taken up the invite and are set to perform at the New Jersey concert. These include: Mallaika Arora, Prabhu Deva, Shriya Saran, Akhil Akkineni and Ram Charan.

Whether they’re actual supporters of Trump and his campaign or are just using the (literal) platform to extend their reach, is unknown. Trump will be delivering a speech at an American Republican Hindu Coalition on October 15th where he will be appealing to Asians and Indians in order to garner support. Funds raised at the speech will go towards Kashmiri and Bangladeshi terror victims.
