The first in a series of ‘supper time’ South and City College InBusiness network events took place in September at the appropriately named 1000 Trades Bar and Kitchen in the historic Jewellery Quarter.
History mixed with new technology was the order of the day , with Trinity Mirror’s Paul House and his colleague Alan Mountford delivering a ‘benefits of digital media’ session to a packed venue.
The 6pm start seemed perfect for attracting the right audience , with businesses from across all sectors enjoying the combination of a fantastic venue steeped in the history of a classic Birmingham Trade with the media transferring its focus to the digital market. A ‘supper time’ buffet feast was provided by Aksar Khan of Subway.
Former Aston Villa full back Steve Staunton was there to support along with a brilliant group of entrpreneurs from across our region.
The proprietor of the new 1000 Trades venue was extremely pleased with the turnout and said “what a great way to showcase our new neighbourhood Bar and Kitchen Venue”
SCCB Business and Community Manager Steve Dourass said ” this type of early evening InBusiness network event really works for our members and it also helps to develop new business relationships that will ultimately create opportunities for our students”
The next ‘supper time’ InBusiness event will take place on the 30th November at the MG Showrooms at Longbridge.
