Announcing the Inaugural Midlands Asian Wedding Awards

The Asian Today and Monsoon Venue Group are pleased to announce the inaugural Midlands Asian Wedding Awards (MAWA), in association with East End Food, taking place at the Vox Conference Centre on the 28^th October.

The prestigious ceremony, which is the first of its kind, will bring together all the best businesses and suppliers in the Asian wedding industry, celebrating and giving recognition to all those who have contributed to this booming business. The black-tie event will kick off with a drinks reception, followed through with a three-course meal, entertainment and awards during the night. Our other sponsors include NFU Mutual, Pout Perfect, Ravi Dylan and Hayer, Silver Fox Pictures and Crush Cocktail Bars.

Asian weddings are a huge industry, growing year by year and generating over £300million annually in the UK. This doubles the figures produced by typical British weddings, making those who make it possible all the more deserving of having their talent and services acknowledged.

The Midlands is home to hundreds of businesses operating in this multi-million pound industry, working nationally and overseas. We wanted to create a platform to recognise the excellent work these businesses are doing and celebrate the growth of the Asian wedding market over the years.”

MAWA has a whole host of different categories which the public can nominate suppliers for and vote in. Our five judges, experienced industry individuals, will decide the winners based on a range of factors.
