Yesterday morning, a man was shot on George Arthur Road, Saltley, near Alum Rock. It is believed the victim, 28, was purposefully targeted by the gunman.
Inspector David Hollies of the West Midlands Police said “we believe this was a targeted attack and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“Part of George Arthur Road and Alum Rock Road will remain closed this morning as part of the investigation.”
The crime scene is currently cordoned off and the victim is in stable condition.
Just last week, there was a similar shooting in Bartley Green. The two are not believed to be connected.
