Ram Abhishek Singh, scriptwriter for the popular The Kapil Sharma Show, has been arrested by UP Police in connection to shooting murder that took place back in 2009.
It is alleged that Singh and his uncle shot dead a rival from his home village along with fatally injuring three others. A cash reward of Rs 30,000 was placed on Singh’s head. His uncle, known as Manoj, had a bounty of Rs 50,000.
Now, the UP police, led by Arvind Chaturvedi, has successfully arrested the writer after locating him at his Mumbai address. For the past seven years, Singh has been evading police capture by changing addresses and using pseudonyms such as Kera Singh, Rohit Singh and Baljinder Singh, to name a few.
The elusive killer, who worked on the award winning Kapil show, has also acted in as many as nine episodes of The Great Indian Family Drama as well as starring in Code Red.
