The singing star is to perform all his greatest hits live at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on August 12th at 6pm. Khan is to perform at a number of shows this year, with Ricoh Arena being his only Midlands destination.
Khan is the son of critically acclaimed Pakistani musician Fateh Ali Kahn and the nephew of Nusret Fateh Ali Kahn, another musical great. However Khan has been making his own name in the Qawwali musical world, becoming a well sought after Bollywood and Lollywood playback artist.
Andy Gibb, managing director of Ricoh, said: “Rahat is a true global superstar and to hear him singing at the Ricoh Arena will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for his fans.
“He is a massive influence in the genre of Qawwali music which has led to Rahat contributing to Hollywood music soundtracks and he is at the pinnacle of his career in the extremely popular world of Bollywood.”
