Hosted by the Fashion Design Council of India in Delhi, the 4 day showcase is set to take place at the Taj Palace Hotel with Manish Malhotra to open the show.
Malhotra is one of India’s most acclaimed fashion designers, having designed pieces for a number of Bollywood actresses, including Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Sonam Kapoor.
The showcase will feature all the hottest trends in Indian and global fashion and best new designs from leading couture designers.
Malhotra’s designs, known for their experimentalism and extravagance, are to tell a tale via their detailed craftsmanship. His collected is aptly titled ‘The Persian Story.’ High profile stars such as Deepika Padukone are to walk in the show.
FCDI President Sunil Sethi says “we have always offered the best of India through our eponymous events and the ICW is the most coveted extravaganza in the stable as it showcases couture ensembles, which are emblematic of our rich tradition and historical past…as we get set to indulge in this unadulterated visual treat, we hope to recreate splendor through the art of luxury.”
