Wales have climbed the Fifa world rankings beating England

The football team have risen to rank 11 in Fifa world rankings after their go of the Euro 2016 semi-finals.

They have jumped 15 places beating England by two ranks who are currently at 13.

Northern Ireland meanwhile dropped to 28th place while Scotland fell to 50th after failing to qualify.

Republic of Ireland are at 31st after moving up.

Wales’ performance at Euro this year was argued to be their best at a major international tournament, although they did rank higher at 8th place in October 2015.

The winners of 2016 Portugal and finalists France moved up two and ten places to sixth and seventh, while Spain, Brazil and Italy make up the rest of the top 10.
