Infertility – where a couple is unable to get pregnant despite having regular unprotected sex – is predicted to affect 3.5 million people in the UK.
A new study of more than 15,000 women and men in Britain revealed that one in eight women have experienced infertility, compared with one in 10 men.
However nearly half of them (42.7% and 46.8% respectively) didn’t pursue medical help for the matter.
They found that infertility affected women aged 35 to 45 the greatest as well as men aged between 35 and 55.
