Following reports of two men trying to lure young boys into a vehicle, the Police issued a stranger-danger warning to parents in the Black Country.

The alert comes after officers received complaints that the men were looming close and approaching the young boys in the Little Bloxwich area.

There have been two incidents that were reported where the dwellers of a white transit van, one black and one white tried to tempt the boys to get in the van by promising them a lift to school.

The first occurrence was on Maple Street on June 9 at about 8.20am, followed by a parallel incident at the same time on Monday.

A spokesperson for Walsall Police said: “We have stepped up patrols in the area during school travelling times and are asking parents to remind their children about stranger danger.

“Anyone who sees anything suspicious should call police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.”

Schools in the area have also sent letters to parents advising them to be extra cautious.
