The fourth annual British Indian Awards in association with BDO will be held in Leicester – is a city known for its diverse population.

The black tie ceremony will be an evening of recognition, rewarding the continuing strength of the British Indian community and recognising those who thrive, evolve and capture the multicultural spirit of Great Britain.

Thousands of nominations were received from the public across the country with the winners being announced on Friday July 15 at Athena, which is in the heart of the new cultural quarter in Leicester.

Yasmin Mahmood of event organiser Oceanic Consulting commented “The Indian community is now the largest ethnic minority group in Leicestershire and is growing rapidly. The Asian population in Leicester exceeds 100,000, which makes it the ideal city to host The British Indian Awards in association with BDO. NRIs have done exceptionally well over all the world, especially in the UK and these awards are a testament to people of Indian Origin who drive their industries forward.”

There will be twenty four accolades to present on the evening which include; Services to Education,  Indian Businesses in the UK, to the much sought after Entrepreneur of the Year.
