Ranveer Sigh’s not one to hold back, and In a candid interview with NDTV, Ranveer spoke about a gruesome encounter he had in his early days as a fledgling actor.
The Bajiroa Mastani megastar told of his first hand experience of casting couch when he was invited by a casting director to his home in Andheri.
The man, who e described the man as “a highly sleazy gentleman.” went on to tell him that he has to be “smart and sexy” to get far in showbiz, and advised Ranveer to be open to “take and touch”.
“Later I got to know what he was interested in. When I said ‘no’, he was heartbroken like a jilted lover,” the actor stated.
Ranveer explained in the tell-all interview that casting couch is a reality in the industry and a commonplace situation for struggling actors. “I later spoke with other strugglers who said the man had made similar propositions to them.” He added.
