NPA donate Toys to Rainbows

On Saturday 25th July 2015 Northampton Punjabi Association collected over 300 toys for the life-limited children at Rainbows Children’s Hospice.

Family and friends gathered at Northampton’s holiday park, Billing Aquadrome celebrating the fine British weather with food and fun for all. Donations of unused toys were received from children of all ages from as young as 2 year-olds to adults giving away their loving childhood treasures.

Northampton Punjabi Association are a local Northamptonshire organisation that formed in 2013 after collecting donations for international eye camps and orphanage visits in various parts of India. Over the two years NPA have helped local charity causes in the UK such as Rainbows, Teenage Cancer Trust, Teddies for Loving Care and Spectrum.

Rainbows Hospice, based in East Midlands is a place where sick children and their families are cared for and supported. Unfortunately, some children are diagnosed with terminal illnesses. Since 1994 Rainbows has opened their doors and hearts to those children and the people who love them most.

The toys donated by NPA will be gifted to sick children who can play, laugh and love life. In addition, toys will also be sold on at the many Rainbows Charity shops around the Midlands to raise donations for the Hospice.
