This moving drama revolves around a five year old mute girl from Pakistan who gets separated from her mother at an Indian railway station.
Lost and hungry she finds shelter in the home of a passionate devotee of Hanuman. Pavan is a devout Hindu hailing from a robust wrestling family.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the story of Pavan’s quest to unite the child with her parents against all odds.
Set against the backdrop of Chandni Chowk Pavan travels from the heartland of Punjab, through the deserts of Rajasthan, over the snow-capped mountains of Kashmir to unite this young child with her mother back in Pakistan.
Salman Khan’s last Eid release Kick was a UK box office hit. Once again he plans to repeat the same success with Bajrangi Bhaijaan also seeing a planned Eid release this year.
Coming from the director of Ek Tha Tiger (2012) Kabir Khan’s latest offering stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in leading roles.
It is the second time that Kareena Kapoor stars with Salman Khan after the super-hit film Bodyguard. She plays the role of Rasika a Brahmin girl whilst Salman plays the character of Pavan, an ardent devotee of Lord Hanuman.
The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui whose character has shades of grey but it will be Harshaali Malhotra the young girl who will impress audiences with her acting and beautiful looks alongside Salman Khan.
A large part of the film has been shot in the exotic snowy locales of Kashmir over a period of 40 days.
Musical score of the movie is fast climbing the charts. The song ‘Selfie Le Le Re’ has already increased in popularity. The sequence sees Salman Khan’s introduction in the film with almost 600 background dancers.
This proved to be a mammoth feat for choreographer Remo D’Souza who is well known as one of the judges in the reality television series Dance India Dance.
The romantic track ‘Tu Chahiye’ sung by Atif Aslam, has been choreographed by Ahmed Khan. It showcases a budding romance between Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan. It is extensively shot in Old Delhi’s Chandi Chowk area.
On the whole Bajrangi Bhaijaan has a unique story, great A-list pairing of stars and a brilliant musical score making it a wholesome feast for this year’s Eid festival celebrations. A must-see!
