Great Gatsby Themed VIP Party
Broad Street’s award winning Pushkar Cocktail Bar & Dining introduced its second restaurant in Edgbaston, Praza Cocktail Bar & Dining, with a Great Gatsby themed VIP launch party on Thursday 26th March.
Hundreds of VIP guests, including restauranteurs, local businesses, press and loyal Pushkar diners, enjoyed mini bite sized samples of Praza’s Indian menu, free champagne all evening, a New York Taxi photo booth as well as entertainment from a DJ, saxophonist and the big hit of the evening; dance performances from The Gatsby Girls! The launch night was a great success with guests celebrating until the early hours.
Housed in a Grade II listed building, Praza is a sassy and edgy new addition to Edgbaston’s dining scene, and the first restaurant in Birmingham with its own rickshaw (which appeared in a Mission Impossible movie) to transport diners from Broad Street and nearby hotels, the Plough and Harrow and The Edgbaston. The restaurant has a copper and black colour scheme and a decadent, art deco feel with the ground floor of the Victorian building being dedicated its cocktail scene and dining being the focus of the second floor. It will serve a seasonal Indian menu with dishes changing every four months, featuring meats such as pigeon, rabbit and lobster on offer. Praza also offers a sexy cocktail menu with exciting flavours and ingredients.
Director, Rai Singh, who also celebrated his birthday at the launch party, commented: “The launch party was a huge success and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and entertainment. I want to say a huge thank you to all of my guests who attended, my staff for all of their hard work and to everyone who has been ever so supportive and excited about Praza. We look forward to bringing a sense of fun and glamour to the Edgbaston cocktail and dining scene!”
