Billionaire Sanjay Hinduja Marries
With more than 200 private jets chartering guests to a palace and up to 16,000 people in attendance, one of India’s most prolific billionaires was married
The multi-million-dollar-affair of Sanjay Hinduja, the son of business legend Gopichand Hinduja and chairman of Gulf Oil International, included performances from Jennifer Lopez and pop artist Nicole Scherzinger, as well as a number of Bollywood stars.
Hinduja married designer Anu Mahtani after a week of celebrations that reportedly cost upward of $20 million.
The wedding took place in Udaipur, a city in Rajasthan state, at the island palace where the James Bond movie “Octopussy” was shot.
Prominent guest included London-based billionaire Vedanta Chief Anil Aggarwal, son of Lakshmi Mittal Aditya Mittal, while the President of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson was also on the guest list
The wedding’s guests were said to be some of India’s most famous socialites, as well as Bollywood stars Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Manish Malhotra, Sophie Choudhry, Raveena Tandon, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.
