Noreen Khan was attacked during a carjacking
West Midlands Police have made a renewed plea after a mother was stabbed whilst her car was stolen in, front of her terrified son.
Inspectors are searching CCTV footage and making house-to-house investigations to identify the masked robbers who attacked Noreen Khan, 38.
Releasing a statement, police urged people who had any information about the shocking incident to contact them.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said, “Detectives are investigating after a Birmingham woman was stabbed in a car-jacking in Gray Street, Bordesley Green.
“Two men dragged the woman from her grey BMW 1 series just after 5pm and made off. The 38-year-old is in a serious but stable condition in hospital. Officers are trawling CCTV and conducting house to house enquiries.”
The violent attack was witnessed by her eight-year-old son from the doorway of their home in Gray Street, Bordesley Green.
The nursery manager’s screams were heard by her husband, Abdul Ghaffar, who ran to assist her. But he couldn’t stop the men absconding in her BMW.
Engineer Mr Gaffer, 40, said: “They tried to murder my wife for nothing. She gave them the car and they still stabbed her.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
