Post Mortem Inconclusive
West Midlands Police believe that a body found on an allotment site in Leicester is that of missing Cardiff woman Sameena Imam.
Formal identification will take place on Wednesday (21 January) after the find in Groby Road on Friday.
A post mortem carried out on Saturday was inconclusive and toxicology tests to determine the cause of death are expected to take several weeks.
Sameena, aged 34, was last seen in Coventry on Christmas Eve. Her family have been kept fully informed of developments and are being supported by trained liaison officers at this sad time.
Two men, charged with her murder, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Tuesday 13 January and have been remanded in custody with a provisional trial date set for the end of June.
Roger Cooper, 40, of Tile Hurst Drive, Coventry, and David Cooper, 38, of Hughenden Drive, Leicester, were arrested at their home addresses on 7 January 2015.
