Pair were Arrested and Sentenced
Drug dealers who hid £75k worth of drugs in an airing cupboard at a Birmingham home have been jailed. Officers acting on intelligence spotted Anthony Ralph and Suresh Loi going into an address on Waterloo Road in Acocks Green last July.
The pair were arrested as they left the address and when officers searched the end terraced house they found a carrier bag hidden in the airing cupboard stuffed with cocaine.
Loi, 36 from Hastings Road in Bedford and Ralph, 30 from Statford House on Yardley Wood Road in Birmingham pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply drugs at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday 31 January and were jailed for three years and three months and five years and four months respectively.
DC Mark Black, from force CID, said: “This is part of our continuing pledge to clear Birmingham’s streets of drugs.
“The cocaine that we found in the house was extremely pure and after it was forensically tested the kilo bag was deemed 81 per cent purity. This means that the drugs could have been cut several times and in total had a potential street value of £75,000.
“We are pleased with the sentencing of Loi and Ralph but this is not the end of our work and we would appeal to anyone who has any information about drug criminality in their area to call us on 101.”
