Leading specialist PR and marketing agency Media Moguls part of The Headline Factory Ltd is proud to have won the title Media Agency of the Year at the inaugural Asian Media Awards, held last night (31st October) at The Hilton in Manchester, Deansgate.

The annual Asian Media Awards are dedicated to rewarding the talent, drive and potential of individuals working within the media industry. The gala ceremony, which will become a regular feature on the annual events calendar, showcases the very best talent working in the Asian and mainstream media within the UK. The awards, which are judged by an esteemed panel of industry experts, also aims to act as a networking platform for individuals working within the industry, to meet with influential figures from organisations in which they are under-represented.

Media Moguls was founded by director Anjna Raheja in1994, who has, over the past 19 years, worked hard to build an enviable reputation for the company, which is recognised for its innovative, creative and dynamic approach. Media Moguls is a full service agency for diverse clients who need to reach out to the changing multicultural audiences within the UK. Conversely, the agency also helps ethnic brands to reach mainstream audiences in the UK.

In its 19-year history, the agency has been associated with some of the most memorable, impactful and ground-breaking campaigns that have marked significant changes in community behaviour. From the release of films such as Bend It Like Beckham, Slumdog Millionaire or My Name is Khan; the publication of the annual Asian Rich List that has catapulted the Asian community into the limelight by highlighting its incredible drive and phenomenal wealth; the creation and delivery of the UK’s biggest and most successful lifestyle events and exhibitions; to controversial, emotive and life-changing campaigns such as the Forced Marriage Campaign or the NHS Organ Donation campaign that not only opened the door on culturally sensitive issues but that would form the blueprint for campaigns targeting ethnic communities for years to come. The agency’s repertoire also extends to commercial clients including banks, corporate institutions and global car manufacturers to name a few.

The agency continues to provide an unrivalled expertise, insight and vision, which translate into stand out marketing and PR campaigns, to reach its diverse target audience with significant effect. Media Moguls has without doubt set the standard of international working practices, bringing not only creativity and innovation to its campaigns, but also an understanding of mainstream agency deliverables, and commercial accountability. This combined with a strong work ethic, team spirit and commitment, makes Media Moguls a valuable marketing partner for its clients and a worthy recipient of the award.

In 2013 The Headline Factory Ltd was restructured in order to recapitalise and to develop two new divisions that now position the group on solid footing for the next decade.

The Headline Factory Ltd, supported by a major international investor, TIS Ventures Dubai and its executive shareholders, Raj Ghai, Karen Lane and Anjna Raheja is now a fully integrated 360 degree media agency. The company comprises, Virtual Recordz, headed by director Raj Ghai, Plus 1 Digital, headed by director Karen Lane and Media Moguls, headed by Anjna Raheja.

Ever ready to be a ‘game-changer’ and in preparation for the agency’s 20th birthday in 2014, The Headline Factory Ltd’s investors plan on further development and investment across all three divisions to position the group at the forefront of Music Publishing, PR and marketing and digital communication space.

Commenting on the win, director Anjna Raheja said:

“We are absolutely delighted and proud to win Media Agency of the Year, and it is a real honour to be recognised by the Asian Media Awards in its inaugural year, especially when faced with such stiff competition within the category. We would like to thank the organisation and the judges who voted for us and making this happen”.

It goes without saying that the recognition is a testament to the continuing hard work and dedication by the team at Media Moguls and The Headline Factory Ltd. The agency will shortly be announcing new plans for the future, that will enable us to continue delivering a reputable service, which adapts to an evolving market and audience. 2013 has been an exciting year for the agency and 2014 is set to be even better with its parent company – TIS Ventures, which will steer the individual divisions within The Headline Factory Ltd into exciting times.”
