Defender helps team win Halewinner League Cup Final
BRIT-ASIAN football star Zesh Rehman has bagged his first medal with Hong Kong club Kitchee FC.
The Birmingham-born defender helped his team beat rivals TSW Peagaus 2-1 in The Halewinner League Cup Final at Mon Kok Stadium.
Rehman, who moved to Hong Kong in January following a spell with Thai champions Muangthong United, was delighted with the win.
“It was a thoroughly deserved victory which could have in truth been by a lot more goals,” he said.
“Everyone played their part, including the fans who contributed to a good atmosphere at the game. I am delighted to have won my first piece of silverware in Hong Kong, am very happy here and enjoying my football.”
Kitchee FC currently sit second in the First Division, behind beaten cup finalists TSW Peagaus.
