Kris’ina Jagpal crowned Miss Birmingham
A YOUTH worker has been crowned Miss Birmingham!
Kris’ina Jagpal was given the top prize after impressing judges at a glittering live final held at the Burlington Hotel.
The 24-year-old from Edgbaston joined 30 other girls in a live fashion show final in front of family, friends and an esteemed judging panel of industry experts. After competing in two rounds of club wear then evening wear, Kris’ina was interviewed live on stage before the judges selected her as the winner. Kris’ina will now represent Birmingham in the National Finals of Miss England on the 25th & 26th June, for her chance to compete in Miss World.
The show was hosted by the owner of ModelZed, Kate Solomons who is a former Miss Leicestershire.
“It means so much to me to win I am overwhelmed and can’t believe it!,” a delighted Kris’ina said.
“It’s an amazing feeling and I promise to make Birmingham and ModelZed proud of me. I enjoyed the whole experience and all the girls were amazing, this has been a dream of mine for many years and with perseverance I have made my dream turn into a reality.”
Competition Organiser Kate Solomons added: “Kris’ina has entered and competed in Miss Birmingham before and has been through a lot in the last few years but is an inspiration to everyone. She is a loving and special person who we are excited to be able to work with under her reign as Miss Birmingham.”
