Baroness Warsi’s ‘10/10’ for fashion statement
NEW Tory Party Chairwoman Baroness Sayeeda Warsi ditched the trouser suit for a traditional shalwar kameez on the doorstep of Number 10.
Britain’s first female Muslim Cabinet minister posed for photographers before taking her seat in new Prime Minister David Cameron’s first full ministerial meeting.
Wearing a pink and purple Baroness Warsi said she was humbled by her new appointment.
“To be born as the daughter of an immigrant mill worker in a mill town in Yorkshire, to have the privilege of serving in Cabinet at such an important time in Britain’s history, I think it is terribly humbling,” she said.
Later she posed with PM David Cameron, his deputy Nick Clegg and cabinet members in the Number 10 garden.
