Two men from London due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court
DETECTIVES investigating a fatal house fire which claimed the lives of a mother and father have charged two more men.
Mohammed Miah, 19, and Habib Iqbal, 25, both from London have been charged with two counts of murder and arson with intent to endanger life.
They are both due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court today.
The fresh development comes just 24 hours after another man, Sadek Miah, 23, from the Isle of Dogs, appeared in court yesterday.
Two other men, Peter Bowden, 39, from Lytham St Annes and Imran Ali, 29, from Manchester have already been charged in connection with the fire.
Detectives have now charged a total of five men in connection with the deaths of Abdullah Mohammed and his wife Ayesha Mohammed.
Both were rescued from their burning home on London Road, Blackburn on 21 October.
Mr Mohammed died shortly after being rescued by firefighters. His wife, Ayesha, died a week later at the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The couple’s two young children were also in the house at the time of the fire.
Their son, Mohammed Mohammed, 8, was treated in hospital but has since been discharged. Their 14-year-old daughter, Siddiqah Mohammed remains in a stable condition and is said to be improving.
The couple have another son, Ashraf Mohammed, who was away at University at the time of the fire.
