Duo targeted OAP
A MAN and a woman who callously robbed a frail pensioner for just £10 have been jailed.
Imran Arif, 20, and Leanne Twist, 22, were charged and sentenced at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
Arif was sentenced to five and a half years in prison and Twist was jailed for five years.
The Court was told the pair broke into a gated apartment complex and forced open the door of a frail 81-year-old man.
The pensioner, who was home at the time of the incident, only had a small amount of cash in the flat and Arif and Twist fled with just £10.
The man sadly died a short tine after the robbery.
Inspector Paul Hatton described the pair as “disgraceful”.
“I am glad these individuals have today had to face the consequences of their disgraceful behaviour, I am only sorry their victim is not here to see it,” he said.
