The Footballer With Sunny Sahota
This years One Game, One Community is rapidly gaining momentum as the week of action that takes place in October is just around the corner.
One Game, One community is the most prominent equality and community engagement initiatives in the country that has a strong community focus celebrating the contribution made by Black, Asian and other ethnic minorities, whilst continuing the call for equality.
The week of action sees the biggest names in the footballing realm stand alongside communities across the UK under the banner One Game, One Community. During this period grassroots clubs, schools, community groups and fans join the professional game in coming together for an extended period of symbolic activities promoting inclusion. The week of action is the biggest series of activities of its kind in Europe so make sure you too get involved in this initiative too.
We at the BCFA are holding a number of events to mark the week of action in Birmingham which includes of the launch of a FA Level 1 Coaching Coarse which will be made available at a subsidised rate for the ethnic community, thanks to a donation from Rishi Rich Productions, the record label of H Dhami who recently carried out an FA Level 1 coaching course to inspire Asians to get on the coaching ladder, Mark Harrod and Talk Talk.
Alongside the FA Level 1 Coaching Course H Dhami will be coaching another primary school in the Birmingham region during the run up to the week of action to continue his work in lifting the profile of football within the Asian community.
