A MAN has been arrested in connection with the murder of elderly widow Mohinder Kaur.
The frail 81-year-old was found gagged in her Kings Heath home on 25 August. A post mortem revealed she had suffocated.
Detectives leading the investigation confirmed that they had arrested a local man in his 30s this morning.
Mrs Kaur, who lived on her own, was discovered dead by her son. By the time ambulances arrived the 81-year-old had died.
Earlier this week her two son’s made an emotional appeal for help in tracking down her killer.
Police also revealed a number of items of Indian jewellery were also missing from Mrs Kaur’s home.
