Mohammed Yasin (pictured right) was shot dead last September after answering the front door of his property in Whitehall Road, Bordesley Green.

Three men, aged 34, 39 and 40, are today being questioned by detectives on suspicion of conspiracy to murder

Police had described Mr Yasin’s killing as an “execution.” They believe an attempt on Mr Yasin’s life was made two days before his murder but he managed to escape from a first floor window.

Two weeks ago detectives also released CCTV images of two men seen acting suspiciously near to Mr Yasin’s house days before his murder.

Members of Mr Yasin’s family, who put up a reward of £100,000 for the arrest and conviction of his killers, said they were still trying to cope with his murder.

His cousin Nazar Hussain said: “The family was in great shock at the time and they still are now. He was a very gentle person, a very loveable character and a good family man.”
