Teenager Arrested on Hit and Run
A teenager has been arrested in connection with the death of a Birmingham woman following a hit-and-run earlier this week.
Zainib Bibi, 68, was hit by a white Fiat Marea on Tuesday 14 July in Burney Lane , Alum Rock and despite the best efforts of medical staff, died later that day.
A 15-year-old came forward and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following an appeal for information. He was later bailed pending further enquiries.
Sergeant Alan Wood said, “I would like to thank the members of public that have contacted us to assist with this investigation so far and would encourage anyone else with any other information that could assist to please contact us, enquiries into the collision are still continuing at this time”
