The 2nd Inspirational Youth Awards were held on the evening of April 27th, 2024, marking a night of celebration and recognition for the exceptional young talent across the region. The vibrant event gathered 480 attendees, including industry leaders, influencers, and community members, all united to honour the achievements of the youth.
Co-founded by Ifraz Ahmed & Anita Chumber, the Inspirational Youth Awards serves as a dynamic platform to celebrate, motivate, and elevate young individuals by showcasing their talents and inspiring journeys. “This event stands as a clear indication that anything is achievable when we support and believe in our youth,” said Anita Chumber.
The ceremony began with poignant poems from Empower Poetry, setting an emotional backdrop for the evening, and featured heart-warming speeches by previous winners, including Amman Ahmed, who detailed the significant impact the award has had on his journey.
Hosted by Kaylee Golding, BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter and last year’s Influencer of the Year, the ceremony was imbued with energy and enthusiasm, captivating the audience with her infectious passion.
The event also spotlighted the partnership with St Basils Charity, with heartfelt appreciation extended to Jean Templeton, Barrie Hodge, and their team for their support. Headline sponsors Powered by CAN, Jerrel Jackson MIoD, and Staffordshire University, represented by Kimberley Chadwick-Reaney, were acknowledged for their unwavering support.
“We are deeply grateful to all our sponsors for their commitment to supporting our youth. With their continued partnership, we look forward to achieving even more for our future leaders,” Ifraz stated. Special thanks were also given to the judges and entertainers from GIRLGRIND UK, NAMYWA MUSIC, Hit The Dhol, and T.Roadz, who added excitement to the evening.
