The New Year Honours List for 2022 recognising men and women from all walks of life including Covid medical heroes, sports stars, and TV/movie celebrities.

The New Year Honours List 2022 has 15.1% of recipients coming from an ethnic minority background, making it for the fourth time running, the most ethnically diverse honours list to date.

Sara Khan Human rights campaigner and counter-terrorism commissioner, actor Nitin Ganatra and Alpesh Chauhan – Music Director, Birmingham Opera Company are a few British Asians who have been recognised.
