Tribute paid to two-month-old tot killed in horror smash
THE family of a two-month-old tot killed in a horror crash that left members of his family critically ill in hospital have paid tribute to him.
Mohammed Isa suffered serious injuries after a car he was travelling in was involved in a horror smash in Smethwick, Birmingham.
His uncle, Khalid Hussain, said the family were “heartbroken” over his death.
“The family of Mohammed Isa are heartbroken over the tragic loss of their son. He was a gentle natured beautiful boy who gave all his family so much joy in the brief time he was with them,” Mr Hussain said in a statement.
The tribute came as police charged a 31-year-old man from Smethwick with causing death by careless driving.
The crash happened on Grove Lane at the junction with Painters Corner, Smethwick on Saturday 27 November.
A silver Mitsubishi Evolution, registration R54 RMW, was travelling along the dual carriageway towards Oldbury when it was in collision with a silver Toyota Corolla.
Baby Mohammed Isa was travelling in the Corolla and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead.
A woman from the same vehicle remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
Three further people, two men and a woman, from the Corolla also remain in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
