Chaos erupted during rush hour on Wednesday 18 July along Walsall Road, Great Barr when a convoy of luxury super car drivers brought the city junction to a standstill with some people risking their lives by hanging out of a Range Rover.
A video that has been viewed more than 20,000 times on Facebook, shows brash Rolls-Royce, Mercedes and Range Rover drivers beeping their horns all along the Walsall Road and at the Tower Hill junction.
During the continuous blasting of horns, a trio can be seen hanging from a blacked-out Range Rover Evoque, with one offender attempting to stop traffic with his hand so the car could pass through.
In another image, a passenger can be seen perched on the side of a moving blue Mercedes convertible.
The video has angered local residents, with many branding the latest actions as disrespectful.
A resident who lives on Walsall Road, who didn’t want to be named, said: “We’ve seen constant issues with anti-social behaviour.”
Councillor for Perry Barr, Jon Hunt added: “It really is shocking. It’s time the car-cruising injunction was enforced. First the bikers then this – all at the same junction.”
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “We received reports of people in cars causing nuisance on Newton Road in stationary traffic shortly after 5.00pm last night (19 July).
“As no criminal offences were disclosed, officers didn’t attend.”
