If you do feel unwell, seek immediate advice and help from a pharmacist, before your symptoms get more serious.
And if you do need medical assistance, your pharmacist or GP can advise you about ailments such as having a minor injury or cold and flu-like symptoms. All GPs will offer an emergency out-of-hours service and NHS walk-in centres or a Minor Injuries Unit can treat people who have minor medical problems. Urgent cases such as loss of consciousness, severe chest pain, severe bleeding, trouble breathing or a suspected broken bone should be reserved for A&E.
