We’re used to rumours swirling around Hollywood’s favourite real life Damsel in Distress Lindsay Lohan, but these rumours general circulate around drink, drugs and a combination of the former with driving- certainly not to do with a possible conversion to Islam.
The former child star has been making numerous humanitarian trips from her glitzy home in LA to the Middle East, where she has been working with Syrian children in Turkey. On top of this, the star celebrated New Years in Dubai and over the past weekend, deleted all of her Instagram pictures and changed her bio to ‘Alaikum salam’.
Lindsay first teased fans and paparazzi alike when she was seen carrying around a Quran. Last year, she was quoted as saying “I’m a very spiritual person and I’ve become more spiritual as time has gone on.”
“I’m really in touch, whether it’s prayer or meditation… there are so many powers greater than me in the world. I’ve been blessed and lucky enough to have been given a gift to share with other people.”
It’s not the first time she’s dabbled in other religions however, having attended Kabbalah classes and Courtney Love’s Buddhist chanting group.
Many Muslims have expressed support for the actress, welcoming her to Islam if she is indeed joining.
