A 25-city comedy tour, showcasing the cream of Muslim comedy talent, takes place across the UK this December, to help raise funds for the Human Appeal’s winter campaign.

As the winter cold sets in, leading comedians Aamer Rahman, Imran Yusuf, Mo Amer, Guz Khan, Aatif Nawaz, Nabil AbdulRashid and Tez Ilyas will have you rolling out of your seats with laughter all night long. As the funniest comedians in the Muslim community, they are not to be missed.

All seven of the featured comedians have huge fanbases across the globe and have performed in some of the most prestigious and revered comedy venues to huge acclaim. The coming together of this amazing ‘band of brothers’ shows that the Muslim community is able to bring people together and break down barriers and misconceptions through laughter.

Amongst the line-up this year are Mo Amer and Guz Khan for whom 2016 has been an amazing year – culminating with the Human Appeal Comedy Tour.

  • Mo Amer is regarded as a pioneer of Arab-American Stand Up, comedy legend Dave Chappelle regularly invites Mo to perform with him in front of various Hollywood celebs;
  • Coventry-born Guz Khan, AKA Guzzy Bear, a former teacher in Humanities whose comedy clips have turned him into a YouTube sensation, his stand-up has also led him to BBC TV slots and his own weekly BBC Asian Network Radio show.

The tour will raise funds for Human Appeal’s winter campaign, and money raised will provide people in Syria and Gaza with essential winter items such as blankets, food and clothing. Last year’s winter campaign raised thousands for the people of Gaza and Syria.

Othman Moqbel, Chief Executive of Human Appeal, said: “We are delighted that so many talented comedians have signed up to take part in this tour and help us raise funds for some of the world’s poorest communities this winter. With events in 25 cities, this tour will be Human Appeal’s most ambitious comedy tour yet, the funds we raise will enable the Muslim community to make a huge difference to people who are suffering this winter.”
