Priyanka Chopra has been named in the Top 10 of the world’s highest paid TV actresses. Priyanka, who is currently filming for the second season of the American hit show Quantico, earned $11 million last year and as such landed at eighth place in the list, the first Indian celeb to ever land a spot.
Priyanka is also gearing up for the release of her Hollywood debut, Baywatch, where she stars alongside mega superstars Dwayne Johnson (Hollywood’s highest paid actor) and Zac Efron.
However, the majority of her millions haven’t come from movie roles, but like most actresses, from advertisements. Forbes says: “Chopra is one of India’s top picks for advertisers, recently winning a seven-figure deal with sparkling juice brand Appy Fizz.”
Priyanka is set to present at the coveted Emmy’s this month and later, to perform alongside Rihanna and Selena Gomez at the 2016 Global Citizen Festival.
Another desi placing on the list is comedy icon Mindy Kaling from The Mindy Show, who placed third.
