A partnership is to bring new affordable homes to South Birmingham

Thanks to a joint partnership between Birmingham City Council, Viridian Housing and Westleigh, Birmingham is to get 44 brand new affordable homes.

Construction on the £4.7million scheme on Longfellow Road, Kings Norton began last November with financial support from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

The Head of New Business in the West Midlands, Gino Siano said “we are delighted that our working partnership with Birmingham City Council and Viridian Housing has allowed us to bring this project to fruition. These homes will go some way towards meeting the increasing demand for affordable lettings in the area.

“The completion of our first project in Birmingham is a source of great pride for us. Westleigh is fully committed to delivering high quality affordable housing in the West Midlands and there are a number of new developments in the pipeline.”

Cllr Peter Griffiths, member of Housing and Homes within Birmingham City Council said “we are committed to increasing the supply of affordable housing in Birmingham.

“Thanks to our partnership with Westleigh and Viridian Housing we have delivered another 44 brand new affordable, quality homes for local people and we look forward to working with them on future projects.”
