Thousands of travellers are anticipated to have disrupted journeys by a upsurge of air traffic control (ATC) strikes across Europe this summer.
Managing Director of A4E (Airlines for Europe), Thomas Reynaert warned: “European travellers face a summer of chaos, disruption and ruined holidays due to ATC strikes. Just this week nine strike days have been confirmed for June and July and they surely won’t be the last.”
Nearly 30 British Airways services to several places in Southern Europe, including to and from Barcelona, Madrid, Rome and Venice were amongst many who had flight cancellations.
