After wowing the judges week-in-week-out, Anita’s strictly journey came to abrupt end, falling just a week short of the shows final.
The 37-year-old competed against BBC Proms presenter Katie Derham in an epic dance off for a slot in the final and a chance at the coveted Glitterball Trophy, but it was Derham who received Len’s deciding vote, sending Anita packing.
The verdict shocked viewers, sparking rumours of an alleged fix. Members of the public took to twitter to express their outrage at what appeared to be the wrong decision.
Even Derham herself was shocked by the judge’s decision, speaking to press about the dance-off, Katie said: “We both danced our socks off but she (Anita) had better socks than me that night.”
The series ended with a bang as Jay McGuiness and partner Aliona took home the prize in a spectacular final,
Regardless of the outcome, from the Paso Doble to the American Smooth, Anita and her handsome partner Gleb kept us glued this series!
