It’s rare to find the latest South Asian runway garments being showcased and sold in the UK whereas; June was a momentous occasion for the British Asian fashion industry.
One of India’s leading couture brands, Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor launched its European flagship store in London’s East Shopping Centre, in partnership with Kahaani London.
At the all-exclusive launch, press and VIP guests had the opportunity to enjoy the stores ambiance and garments even before the public. As a result this not only brought press but also Asian celebs such as, Feryal Khan from Desi Rascals and Anita Kaushik of MTV’s Ex On The Beach who attended to experience Indian couture at its best.
Anjalee & Arjun Kapoor regularly dress A-list Bollywood celebrities such as, Bipasha Basu, Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, Hema Malini, Mallika Sherawat, Lara Dutta to only mention a few. And now the British Asian women can look like A-list celebrity on her wedding or special occasion in Anjalee & Arjun Kapoor’s exquisite gowns!
Anjalee & Arjun Kapoor’s collection was breath taking, oozing of Indian elegance and charming pieces of art. The modern cuts combined with the finest Indian techniques highlighted the delicacy, passion and hard work gone into each stitch of the dresses.
As l hovered over to what seemed to be the bridal section l was astounded by the lenghas, implicitly crafted on pastel shades represented the new British Asian bride.
Not only did we get the chance appreciate the face of Indian couture beauty in the UK but l got to speak to the great lady herself.
